That's not it, I also enjoy 4 player games and appreciate them, but there is a difference between wishing a game would support 4 player and demanding it.
I'm just sick of people saying "the game has to be my way or I won't by it, change it devs"
Stop moaning
This stupid trend arguably really started with Destiny. It sold ridiculously well, and pointy haired bosses have decided to cargo cult one of the dumbest things that game did by copying its primary player count rather than any of the other things it did (or, arguably, *promised*) that actually appealed to players. Destiny was a financial success DESPITE that 3 player limit, not BECAUSE of it.
Unfortunately, that seems to be 85% of threads on Steam forums these here days.
Not sure what it is about the nature of Steam what makes this so. The GOG forums somehow don't seem to be run amok with pea-brains screaming for multiplayer on a single player game and yelling woke every dang five minutes.
By my metrics, most threads on Steam are saying "I'm entitled!" or "I ain't good at doing computers!"
Likely when they acquired the rights for Control last year. Makes you wonder if they had a hard time implementing the multiplayer along with Northlight on UE5. Afaik this should be the first multiplayer title, considering they mainly worked on the campaign in Crossfire X.
Bit irrational to bash people for wanting more options in their games.
Well ultimately we won't spend our hard earned cash on something that doesn't fit our needs. That would just be fiscally irresponsible. As long as the feedback is respectful, the devs obviously as a for-profit company that wants to market to as many consumers as possible for maximizing profit margins, would clearly appreciate it. You can't just tell a consumer to purchase a product the find no value in.
