First Time I Regret buying from Steam

Played 4 different servers. In each of the servers I was not able to go down any of the tiny hills because it would then disconnect me. I spent most of my 20 minutes of gameplay running from a spawning point and trying to get down the tiny hills. I did get past the hills once only to randomly disconnect as I was walking around a zombie infested area (no it wasn't death). Horrible experience when compared to DayZ (or any game really).

This is the first time I regret buying a game from Steam because even though it was cheap. I wanted a refund within 20 minutes of gameplay. Steam has a no refund policy, even on games like this.

I should also add that I don't have stability issues on any other online games (which I do play frequently). Only time I normally disconnect is when the server goes down or I quit the game.

why were you getting disconnected? what was the exact message?

try verify game cache

if it was punkbuster then get/run pbsvc.exe
http://evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

then get and run pbsetup.exe
http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloader/download.php?file=1

add the game and set game path to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The War Z\pb

do update

also it could be wireless or too many poeple playing in your area and overloading the cloud servers or even disconnecting from steam.
