Perm. Banned for no reason what so ever

Okay, so this is how it went, logged on to a private server not knowing it would scan my computer, banned me for a hack i had downloaded for the alpha version i didn't even know how to use. I NEVER used the hack because I couldn't figure out how. And now, I can't play because of a hack that is months old. i either want my money back, or to be unbanned

I swear to you, the hack was a txt file, never used. If there is anyway I can show you it was never used, please, tell me, if not, then shutup about it

Wow, someone is nasty. I'm just pointing out you're unlikely to find anyone to take your side or believe you here. You admitted to downloading a hack with the intent to use it and are now upset that you were banned because you say you didn't actually use it.

Far be it for me to warn you of the comments you're going to get though.

Like I said in the above, the hack was never used, I couldn't figure out how to use it, you get banned for hacking in the game, you shouldn't get banned for downloading a hack and not using it, for example, thats like saying purchasing a weapon, and getting arrested for hurting someone when you didn't even use the weapon.

what doesn't make sense, how is the "hack file" a .txt file... a .txt cant act as a hack, cause thats all it is...

Like i said "I don't know how to use the file, it was a .txt file, I didn't know how to "apply" the hack" if it was even a hack, but still, it WAS a .txt file that I didn't know how to use

So had you figured out how to use it, you WOULD have correct. That means you are the type of player that they don't want playing there game. If it was my game I would have banned you...oh and try getting GOOD at games you buy, but I guess cheating makes you feel like a big boy. Serves you right.

It's more getting arrested for purchasing a bomb with the intent to hurt someone with it, but changed your mind only when you couldn't figure out how to trigger it. It still is what it is.

Either way though, the forum is going to get you a lot more nasty comments than my tame ones and isn't the place for a kind of 'ban appeal' anyway. Submit a ban appeal to Steam and Zendesk, but don't hold your breath because of your own admissions here.

but a .txt file cant transform into a hack.. there is nothing to apply, no where to put it in, there is no .exe, so the .txt file you had couldn't have triggered a ban, it was most likely something else

Also, there is no other "hack" I even attempted to download since I couldn't figure out how to use it, so I didn't even bother trying to download another

I'm afraid it's all just your word on any of it, though. Like I said, submit an actual ban appeal. Posting on the forum will literally have no effect.

I understand that, but I submitted, no contact after a while, and A LOT of people state that " the services that are supposed to review the bans never contact them back" so im just sitting here really pissed off that I purchased and help support the game in it's alpha, donated to it, and even recommenced to many of my friends, and I get banned, and they will not even state why I was, sure they said for hacking, but like I said , I didn't

BTW, on the site there are post from AUGUST OF LAST YEAR that still haven't had any responses from "staff"

first dont panic. dont spam them with hate and anger, name calling.

how do you know you got banned for that txt file hack

you first need to find out exactly why you got banned and exactly by who

either pb banned your or fairfight banned you or someone else like hammer point they can also ban you

to find out if its pb get and run pbsvc.exe will tell you if you still have problems.

if its not pb then its fairfight and you will need to create a ticket with hammer point support

just explain nicely that you were banned, didnt run any cheats and please have them unban you. a number of people been recently getting false postive bans and bans due to game crashing, freezing and them they starting multiple instances and getting banned for it. nothing to do with cheating.

if its pb then you may have problems, they will give you a violation code and associated message

if pb banned you then you will also need to find you pb guid which you will need when communicating with evenbalane, pbbans and perhaps even hammerpoint by doing this

just find page to do search for your id. not being there does not mean you are not banned by pb.

if u do have a pb ban then you will need to create a ticket with evenbalance, pbbans and hammerpoint give full details and work with them. keep pbbans and hammerpoint in the loop.

it will take a bit or even perhaps a lot of time, effort and patience and good humor. at the end of the day it may not be possible to unban you!

hey you did get caught and you did have hack as you admit yourself in this post. and pb most likely has a lot of data on you, your computer, your internet connection, ect... even screenshots, copy of files, memory images, and more!

what can i say should have read up on punk buster.

it looks at what is running, what is in memory, what is on the file system, what is in the registry, and more...

once it finds something it flags you, then in the days, weeks and months to come it bans you

depending on the violation it can ban you for this, game, your account, all pb games, even your computer and down to the individual components. your ip address, your mac address and more

im not sure if this is why the banned you and who banned you

i would asap remove every hack you have. remember uninstalling does not often totally remove everything, things are left in the file system, in the registry, and sometimes even resident and running!

so it can be its a nightmare to clean up a box

also until your box is clean dont go running pb or fairfight games cause carch time you run a pb game you are being flagged, flagged enough times and you are banned big time requireing to setup a new account, perhaos even buy all game and perhaps even a new computer and perhaps even with totally new components. perhaps even get a new ip address and router, ect. dont lost it now, not everyone gets this level pof punishment by pb, but i dont know how bad the situation is.
