why is this not working?

can any one tell me why this game kicks you and diconects you from EVERY game i try to join?!?!

cause most likely pb is not installed properly or in need of updating

and it would have told you why. all you had to do is do simple web search to find out

now try this

get and run pbsvc.exe and pbsetup.exe from evenbalance

when you add the pbset add the game and use

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The War Z\pb

and not


C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The War Z

as the folder

then run update

the game should not run without any problems

if pbsvc gives you an error or problems persist then most likely you have been banned by pb for cheating in this or other pb game... or it can be a very rare case of a false positive

so get the error message you are getting and head on over to pbbans and look up the error code and what it means and how to resolve

if u have been banned by pb then you will need to create ticket with evenbalance and pbbans and with hammerpoint and work it out with pb and then keep the others in the look since pbbans will also have to remove you from the list... and evenbalance just keep them in the loop as well as pbbans

dont feel bad others are having issues with this and other games with pb. it appears some people have problems with pb installation and then updates not happening automatically

np just run pbsvc and pbsetup and if u run into more problems just post. im happy to help. it happens to a pct of people part of theproblem is steam installer is having problems keeping up with window schanges to prerequisits dont get installed or installed properly others is just pb installer is also having issues. still it alls sucks. and windows 8.1 is worse...

its because his box is messed up nothing to do with the game.

cant even run msinfo32.exe

he needs to repair/reinstall windows. its crashing even without the game even running.


plus he needs to make sure he has the minimum requirements. perhaps in the future steam client can check this and stop people before they buy a game for themselves that they then cant later run on the box cause it does not meet the minimum requirements. its easy enough to...

0. run msinfo32.exe and find out what version of windows you have and what cpu, what video, how much ram, what kind disks you have and make sure you meet the minimum requirements to run this game

3. do a scandisk on all your disks, it may require you to reboot your box.

4. get rid of avg and replace it with microsoft essential security (microsofts free antivirus, it runs well enough) and do a full scan

8. make sure you have latest version of windows by running windows update and download and install all updates. make sure they all download and install and that there are no errors.

9. make sure you have the latest video drivers go to your video card manufacturer and get and install latest version.

10. get and run microsoft c/c++ runtime 2003,2005,2008,2010 32-bit and get all updates.

ive been able to bypass all those steps by entering an empty server, letting pb update there, reseting pc, repeat one more time to be sure, then you can goto the 100 player server. if you go straight to the laggiest server in the game your first day, pb simply will not update in the background like it should (yes it should do it by itself, pb updates up to 3 times a day, no one is going to evenbalance to reinstall pb 3 times a day)

edit: pbsvc.exe is your friend, use him every day! an old bf trick ;)

there are no servers that are emty and i can get in a server just fine its staying in it thats the problem
