Deadz aint a keylogger , its actually 100 times better then warz , it has a dev team who actually listen to the community , the game has new maps , almost no hackers and a great community.
Hackers get banned lightning fast because of the close eye and reports , its a small community so when u hack ull get caught fast.
Ive played warz but was tired of the hacking scum , now im playing deadz for over 2 months and its just great.
Dont listen to stories of keyloggers and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ , its not true.
AND ITS TOTALLY FREE , no money grabbing ♥♥♥♥♥ like hammerpoint

First, we CAN'T say if DeadZ is illegal or not.
The reasons is that, initially, it WAS illegal as the 2 member of the team used leaked source codes. (In case people aren't able to tell the difference, leaking sources codes are codes that are taken illegally from a software and distributed as raw codes. It's the result of a low-quality protection of an early build of a game. It's not the full and final product, but it's still the property of the original developpement team.)
The small team behidn DeadZ actually have made it quite clear. Any public showing of the content of the game without their autorisation may lead to a instant Ban. ("No streaming" is part of their "Terms or Uses") They don't want their work to be scrapped if ever Hammerpoint Interactive actually gets enought material to sue/stop them.
There comes another problem for Hammerpoint Interactive... DeadZ actually gives more than their actual product. So, if H.I. decide to "show-off" that they don't want DeadZ to exist anymore as it's based on a leaked stolen property, they might also bring forward their own failure as 2 people made a better product then the whole H.I. team. It would be litterally a kick in the balls to have online news speak about a serious Game company producing a crappier version of a product in face of a early build leaked and transformed by a smaller and "less competent" team unrelated by them.
Another problem comes from how software are protected. In case of WarZ alpha, it was simply not created to be protected. Someone else could come up with the same codes in a matter of time. (For example, normally, scripts require that the programmer enter a date and his name in some of the important script. It helps for follows-up and patches. The alpha build of WarZ didn't have that kind of "identification") So, from a sueing case, it all come from honesty and proofs. This means, 3rd party verification and loads of legal reviews. That also mean that it would cost quite some money. They must think about how much they could get out of that situation... which in this case is not much. (They can't take the money that isn't owned. That's the reason why most companies doesn't do jack agains individuals who steal their property. Pay thousands of dollars to get only a small portion of it back. Not worth it.)
