No amount of support it going to get their acts together, they havn't released a solid update in months, with a huge amount of sale profits all they have done is make a mock up screen shot of a talent tree.
While small companies like the dead linger do massive world overhauls each month. Please do not encourage them and there lack of development.
Also no we shouldn't be gratefull at all that they copied dayz and made hardly any improvments, and now pritty much stoped bringing out content for it.
Don't support these companies and their bad business practices. This game is nothing but a scam. Try the dead linger instead. It's very early in development, but the devs are awesome. They are very friendly, and active and honest with the community through every step of the development process. They are everything that hammerpoint aren't.
Seriously there should be a sticky to inform people, rather than the same question being asked over and over.
Because indeed, supporting The War Z is a vote saying "I want more of this."
Telling people to be patient with a company which has consistently failed to deliver on promises and outright lied to customers to the point of getting busted for false advertising and their game getting pulled from sale, is not something I think makes much sense. I do not know why their budget and staff numbers would matter. Their conduct remains the same.
The problem with this is that I would still rather have this game than no game. So until I have a better game to "vote" for I'm taking what I can get and liking it more than the alternative.
It also seems silly to say that giving money to this game makes it such that nobody will bother to make a better product as it seems just as likely that more interest in this genre will result in more competition over the niche and that competition is what will drive the quality up.
War Z exists and is awful because there was nothing it had to compete with for this space. Once Day Z standalone comes out the game is on and the bar should continue to raise as more money is awarded to the better and better product.
