Actually mate, you ARE taking sides. I've noticed on a lot of the "I've been banned" threads you go on and on about how they false ban and such. This is clearly taking the side of the person claiming to be falsely banned.
I wouldn't consider someone a gamer if they didn't recognise the fact that, like hackers, there are also false bans in every game.
ISS aka War Z is not a zombie shooter nor is Day Z for that matter. Both games are about survival after the zombie appocolypse and that is what makes ISS fun for me and why I am interested in the Day Z standalone.
The Day Z standalone sounds like it will be very good but ISS will improve when they implement the new maps and zombie a.i. and new game engine (if and when that happens is hard to say).
I have never played Day Z but I do watch some YouTube videos and the mod doesn't look too great to me although I know some people love it and that is ok with me. I do like ISS and also know that the game isn't perfect but I still enjoy it for what it is, a zombie survival game.
I'm not really saying much but only meant to say it is not a ZOMBIE SHOOTER, shooting your gun in a place where there are lots of zombies is a good way to die in ISS, firearms are more for PvP than for zombies.
And most importantly. This entire game is a scam, regardless of how much fun you're having. This game was made out of assets from WarInc, in a few months. In order to do that, they've completely dropped support for WarInc, a f2p game that people had sunk money into. They then sold the game on thier site with options to pay more to get extra features. Most of which haven't been implemented (strongholds -_-). Some people payed 80$+ for the game, and still haven't gotten what they were promised to have by january. The devs also used copywrited matterials to get it out faster (Photoshopped pics of the walking dead for art, as well as stealing the music for "American Horror Story", and using the EULA from LoL and a few other games, patched together). Before they did the steam release, in november, they had the copywrite for the name "WarZ" revoked, due to it's similarity with "World War Z", for the next 3 months, sergey (I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you), refused to accknoledge the fact, and went ahead with the steam launch anyway. This was to cash in on the similarity in names, between WarZ, DayZ, and World War Z; recently, just before the steam sale, they finally changed the name of the game (Which the court had been ordering them to do for the past 9 months), and then removed the terrible metacritic score from the page, without saying that it was previously WarZ. The original planned name of the game WAS "Infestation: Survivor Stories", which prooves that they've had that planned from the start.
During the release, hammerpoint went on a ban hammer spree, banning anyone who talked bad about the game from the forums, or even people trying to give good criticism, litterally 1000s of people got banned from speaking. Hundreds of HUB threads got deleted too. After all the false advertising, and banning, Valve decided to rip the game from the store till hammerpoint fixed the false ads, and then offered an easy way for anyone to get a refund, for a limited amount of time, and then removed hammerpoints moderating rights from this hub. Hundreds of people have also been falsly banned from the game, without using any hacks. FF, can ban people from simple things such as lag, or crashes, and there is NOTHING you can do to get unbanned. If you try to open a ticket with hammerpoint, they just give copy and pasted reponses. And at one point, you could send a ticket in with a FAKE email and account name, saying you had been banned, and it would still give the copy and pasted answer "You have been banned for hacking, and the evidence is too sensitive to show you" (In a nutshell). People who paid 80$ for the game, with over 1000 hours in it, have been banned. Hundreds of supporters from the forums, eventually gave up, because hammerpoint is so bad, they even treat people who support the game like ♥♥♥♥.
There's more. I just don't want to type anymore.
Anyone who supports this developer, clearly didn't do thier research, or is an idiot.
I don't think anyone has ever gone on here and supported the Devs. Who are you talking to?
I go on these forums a lot, and I rarely ever see anyone say " Yay Hammerpoint!"
I see people that say "Hey, we already know the developers are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but we like the game."
You need to look harder.
Because there are a lot of people that support them. They say things like "I'm hopefuly they'll get this and that out soon" and stuff like that. It's not always obvious
