it it connection problem?
verify game cache just to make sure
like connection problems to update server
if wireless check signal strength/quality
check your firewall/router logs
check windows application/system event logs
do tracert to server
r u using proxy/vpn? if so dont...
perhaps reset your internet modem / restart your computer...
if it does not go away create ticket with hammerpoint support
https://warz.zendesk.com/home
so wait a bit. an update went out today and everybody is trying to get it at the same time
if it does not resolve itself in a day or so contact their support
its a region thing.
also u have to understand steam daily goes down, look at the stats it shows the problem. these discussion areas are constantly going down.
so is ea, ubi, ect why because they all using cloud servers and and services such as cloudfront that are under massive ddos attacks...
so perhaps its not an update thing and its more of a ddos attack that is going on...
and if multibillion dollar company cant handle it what hopes for tiny indie
the company that produces it. they have 0 control over a world they didnt build
they spend their time creating free updates, new contect, changes and fixes with the money they get...
so im not sure why you or anyone would have a problem with them.. since they r hard at work on making the game better.
in facct i dont know of any other game company that has done so many updates. they basically do one every couple weeks. and this now for over a year..
many other indie companies take months between releases. and even giants take months between releases.
people want something they deliver it.
if this was not the case it would not be on steam top 100 for over a year now since released to this date, around #50, certainly its not there cause of reviews, articles, threads, posts... its there cause they deliver and do it each and eveyr day for over a year now.
just look at all the announcements. the developer diaries, the many release notes
i dont know of many indie companies or even giant companies that deliver as much as these guys
sure keep in mind tis a b-rated game from a tiny indie company. so assets like animations, textures, models, ect and such will always be a liitle imperfect, cause its not like they can take them from the marketplace that unity and udk has and use them
plus its not like they are going to move tons of code i a single night. look how long its taken ea to do offline mode that was there from day 1 for simcity and all they needed was a 2 menu entry (save and load) and the forum for them... then compare what u get out of dice / maxis to these guys...
this is the little engine that could compare to those guys...
now watch bis doing dayz with lots of money, talent, even code from others games and see what happens. oh wait rocket quitting and running w the money before its going to be finished... ah too bad... u dont see that here sergey still at it.. and unlike rocket who got alll the awards before they were even deserved, i mean best zombie game of the year have u looked at the zombie ai, animations ect... this certainly best zombie game of the year before that game... and this more comparable to the dead linger kind of team and those guys doing it using unity engine which means they can pick something up in unity asset store these guys cant and look how long it takes them to to updates over there and move code with alll the advantage of unity... these guys have been moving lots more code and they dont have asset store to turn to... both games started about the same time and look where this one is and look where that one is.. and that one cost more than this one!
also no game company now adays and for a long times tests much they release as soon as it compiles... from dice with battlefield, ect the players are the testers... and more and more the investors paying for it without getting the dividens...
