Reboot of Infestation Survivor Stories

Dear players,

This is the Swedish development team at Fredaikis speaking. Since 2015 we have been developing the title "Infestation: The New Z" which is based on I:SS code but targeted more towards PvP where loot is much more easily obtained compared to old I:SS.
This has become very popular among many players, but there's still a big part of you who are asking us almost on a daily basis to adapt The New Z more to what I:SS used to be in terms of gameplay and loot.

We have therefore in the past months been doing exactly so, reworking loot and gameplay on our "Survival" mode in New Z aimed to be just like in classic I:SS and have asked OP Productions for permission to release it for everyone who in the past purchased Infestation: Survivor Stories on Steam.

On the 15th of October we are therefore wiping the Survival mode in New Z, replacing the loot tables with the new ones that we have been working on in the past months, giving everyone a fresh start at equal conditions. The game will of course be free-to-play.

Our goal is to bring you the same type of gameplay that you enjoyed in I:SS together with the many new features, content & bug fixes we have done over the years, including new zombies, alien zombies, random map events like Airdrops with loot, helicopter crashes infested with the dead and military grade weaponry and radiation zones where you won't be able to breath without proper tools.
A new flea market where you can sell your items for in-game currency
All fixes and tweaks we've made over years on the game and a new UI to better suit all your needs.
All that topped up with a functional and top-of-the-market Anticheat exclusively developed for the game and engine!
Come join the good times where survival is your main goal! Fight zombies and players alike and try to get through each night!

If I am understanding this thread right it basically sounds like your setting up both clients under both listings to be essentially the same game and scrapping survival mode which is a bad move in my opinion. I don't really understand that logic. Anyone who bought this game could just easily download The New Z client. It would have made more sense to just bring this game online as it was when it closed down for those who preferred the older version and interface. Oh well. Good luck with that mates.

They are opening all the servers and letting everyone who bought this game play again. This game has been constantly updated, fixed bugs, added content since the rights were purchased like 4/5 years ago as The New Z. Sit tight and wait for more news.

Btw, you have 2k hours in The New Z. You should know how much has been fixed and how few the cheaters are.

This game has had almost no actual bux fixes done to make it playable for the masses. The fact that this game has a million and 1 different micro transactions and yet still, the game is in a dumpster fire state. I logged back on for the first time in a long time and not only did it crash multiple times, zombies clip through a lot of things, barely any populated servers (Even when its free, which is telling of its state) The key bindings are broken and do not register some inputs even after rebinding them, The game looks like a pre PS3 game from a dollar bin. The gun play is comparable to a bad phone game and the whole survivor Cooldown system is a joke. You would need to build this game from the ground up again for anyone to take actual notice and even then, even if it was all fixed and good... its reputation only destroys what little chance it had in the current market. This game is nothing but pain and not worth any of your time. The Dev's are trying to keep this game on life support hoping people will come back and spend money, and with all the lies they are spouting saying they have been working on fixing the game when really, they have been trying to get the game barely running so people can be bombarded with micro transaction after micro transaction in hopes to prey on some of the most weak willed people to spend the base minimum of $5 just to get a shirt? This game is apparently a full build when i have seen even the most half asses early access games be more functional than this rubbish. The Dev's lied upon this games first release as WarZ and was pulled from steam. they then rebranded this game to get it back on the shop just to scam some poor people into playing and buying in game items. If these devs had any shame, they would remove this game, put it to rest and work on any of the other stuff that isnt a blatant scam

This morning a small update we rolled out caused players with old versions of Windows 7 to encounter issues starting the game. The issue has been addressed and the fix has been rolled out!

This isn't even the same company you bought the game from. They don't owe you any money.

This isn't even the same company you bought the game from. They don't owe you any money.

Thats actually incorrect. If they have taken over the IP, then they are assuming all the previous issue the game has created. Just because a new company has taken over the IP does not mean they are void of refunds for the games issues. In Australia, this is a easy open and closed case since we have the ACCC that helps us for situations like this. In brazil however, that could be a different story. But the fact of the matter is, A new company taking over the IP does not void refunds.
