Hey everyone—a giant thank you is in order—the reception to HYPERBEAT during Next Fest exceeded our wildest expectations!

Thank you to all who played, wishlisted, and gave feedback. It’s been overwhelming to see so many people enjoying the game and to meet your expectations we’ve decided to move the release date to Q1 of 2025.

We want to make sure the game meets the level of quality you all deserve, and that we have time to address the feedback we’ve received to ensure HYPERBEAT remains something worth waiting for. While we’re entering the final stages of development, the current demo will remain live but all production efforts will be focused on the final build of the game.

We can’t wait to show you the rest of what we’ve been working on. 💚

How to play the game

When it tells me to strike the beat I'm either not figuring out how it works or the game isn't working for me. I move to the beat and the controller glows and says press X but when I try that it does nothing. Not sure if I'm missing something or the game isn't working for me....

Sound mixing woe

Really cool game. But there's a huge disparity between the level select music and song music, and certain sound effects like when the stage ends or the voices are WAY WAY louder than everything else. Be kind to us wearing headphones.

I absolutely adore this. Just oozing with style and soul. Can't wait for the full release! I'm counting 4 songs, however the steam page says there are 5 in the demo!! Is there a secret to unlock the 5th?

Mouse control suggestion

It would be great if instead of the cursor going around the entire rectangular screen, there was an option to keep it centered or limited to a (configurable?) circle in the middle. As it stands, mouse controls are awkward because of the whole widescreen corner situation. Otherwise, game is great!...

Game is good, but UI needs work

The game itself is pretty fun. But the UI is very difficult to use. It took me forever just to figure out how to pick a song. Having to walk back to the tree and hold a button just to bring up the song selection between each song is very tedious as well. Hopefully you can make getting in to actually play the game a much less slow and tedious experience....
