Just like the title, is it just a hack and slash or is there live 2D H content if your downed by an enemy?

for some reason I am unable to start the game, any tips?

(preface i have installed the patch, using Keyboard, have changed a couple keybindings as well, but have also tried a fresh install as well to see if changed keybinds were the problem.)
