I was surprised when I got into the game and I was not able to progress the dialogue, skipping through.

Using the 'progress dialogue' button should advance to the next screen of dialogue. No matter how good your writers may think the story is, it is important to recognize that there are players that don't have the time, patients, or care about what you have written.

100% agree. I dont mind story but every conversation is about something that was already previously said. Very awkward writing as well.

Loved the demo... Except for this. So much chat and it's plodding which makes me less interested. If I can read faster than you allow me to advance the text I'm going to smash the button out of frustration at making me wait.

Yeah, I ALT+F4ed after like five minutes or so of this with no end in sight. This is not what a demo is supposed to be. If you want to showcase your game, showcase your game and not your writing. I would've hated this much unskippable dialogue even in the full game, but in a demo it makes no sense at all.
The same BS that Pokémon always does, with these long unskippable cutscenes. Bad first impression.

Omg, people that can stand some dialogue, it's for immersion and know the living of the other characters. People have no patience nowaday I swear.

If you don't like story. Play a Pokemon game. Since they don't care about making an actual good story.
