Arcticide

Review and Feedback
Overall, it was almost fun, but the AI is way too aggressive. The first enemy on normal killed me in less than 2 seconds.

On my second run, the second enemy killed me the second I leaned from behind cover.

The last one I did on the easiest difficulty (supposedly slower reactions, lower defense, etc). I got killed by the 3rd enemy I saw when he fractured me from across a huge clearing, then tracked me down even though he had no line of sight, then killed me with one burst even though I had healed with a syringe.

These kind of enemies would be fun if we had some kind of radar to know where they are like in STALKER, or bullet time to give us an edge in duels like in Max Payne or FEAR

Also, in all of those games, the enemies make noise. They pause. They reload. They do other things besides hunt like T-1000s. It makes them feel more natural, but is also gives the player chances to get a good shot while they're distracted.

There's also no way to eat things from the menu, and no way to unequip something in the quick slots (nothing I tried worked)

And finally, silencers don't make recoil worse, they make it better. They make stability, draw speed, and handling worse though.

yes I agree, aimbotting AI spoiled the fun for me :(

Thanks for the feedback, the enemy reactions/behaviour seem to be a common complaint. I'll definitely tune down their reactions, add more non-aggressive behaviour like retreating, reloading in cover, etc. More sound cues etc also is a priority.

Thanks for the other feedback as well. The silencers shouldn't be affecting handling, but I'll look into it.

Thanks! I meant that silencers in the game make recoil worse, but physically, shouldn't making the barrel longer and heavier actually make recoil easier to manage, but at the cost of making the gun harder to handle?
