Global Map Settings
Hello there,
I try to host my own custom server for this game, but I like to give every player +50 armor at the start. I'm aware that you can just type "startarmor 50" in the <mapname>.cfg file but that would mean I had to edit every single map config file I want to use which sounds like a nightmare if I want to make changes later down the road. So my question is, can the variable "startarmor 50" be set globally somehow?

You can find and adjust this setting in "default_map_settings.cfg", however this won't apply to maps specifying their own value for it.

Hi there,
I have already try to to that but the game doesn't seem to recognize my entries. All the maps I tried (abandoned or hplanet for example) don't give me an armor boost at the start. The map cfg files also don't specify their own values.

Hello,

Looks like this was broken a few versions ago. "default_map_settings.cfg" is no longer able to declare start/max health/armor. I'll commit a fix for this for the next release, but in the meantime you'll need to obtain or build a simple plug-in to implement this for you.

Thanks for discovering this. We're discussing internally if this is intentionally not implemented or not.
