directors cut lets you pick from 3 endings, canonically the order is from 1 to 3, but you can pick any. there's more to it but i'm not spoiling anything more than i already am. you don't need to do anything to play directors cut in the lobby, just follow a corridor and pick an ending
classic has one ending, and you need that code to play it. "the 5 who are lost" refer to some notes with a number and letter on them, they are hidden around the lobby map. just for example, one is hidden under a car
that's about it really, i'm personally not going to share any tips for once you get in because it's a survival horror mod and it would ruin the point of it, i would seriously recommend not skipping the training map. have fun
