FIX for screen too large, or mouse not working in menu

Edit: The following should no longer be necessary.

• Navigate to your \Steam\steamapps\common\Sven Co-op\ folder
• Right-click svencoop.exe and choose Properties
• Switch to the Compatibility tab
• Enable the checkbox for "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
• Click OK

Hopefully this won't be necessary in future versions.

Did not work for me, i have tried reinstalling and using -gl but nothing works.
By the way i accidentally put it in software mode and this seemed to cause it.
"try adding this to the games launch options -gl -w 1366 -h 768" Fixed it for me :)

Just to confirm, it happens when your desktop resolution differs than game resolution

I assume Sven's fix is for if you have scaling set to anything other than 100%
My experience is very few games work with DPI scaling set to anything other than 100%

Joropito/Capt.Scarlett: Yes, it's for DPI scaling settings. They cause a problem whatever your ingame resolution is set to. Standard HL1 doesn't have this issue.

I have a problem, I'm connected to a HDTV so when the game starts I can see the game on my laptop screen but on the TV it's just a black screen.

I take it your screen is mirrored so before launching you see the same things on both screens?
If not press [Windows Key] + [P] and ensure its set to Duplicate and not Extend

The problem mentioned in the top post has been identified and will be fixed in the next game update, by the way (hopefully in a matter of days).

I'm having the same issue. I switched to software to see what it would do. Now I regret it so much. I reinstalled once already and launched the game 5 times and still the screen is cut off badly.

The screen cutoff problem is a separate issue. We should be releasing a fix for it within the next few hours, but if you want to work around the problem now, follow the instructions at the top of the Known Issues list on http://www.svencoop.com
