That sounds like you've got corrupted game data. You can correct this with the Steam tool to verify content integrity:

Already tried Verifying intergrity, no change

have you tried just reinstalling the game or deleting the bm_sts.bsp file inside? are you sure you didnt install any custom version of bm_sts?

Does this problem only occur on a specific server?
Are you able to run the map locally? (Use the Create Game option in the main menu.)

I cannot run the map at all, regardless of who hosts.

I have tried deleting bm_sts.bsp and authenticating, No change.

i wonder if its maybe because of pc specs? could you list them?
i remember my old poor laptop would crash on bm_sts but it would not display that message, would display the default one instead of a "map problem" one

Do you have any custom content in your "svencoop_addon" or "svencoop_downloads" directories that may be causing a conflict?
You could rename both of those directories to "svencoop_addon_goaway" and "svencoop_downloads_goaway" temporarily to stop them from being loaded.

Hello to anyone having this issue in the future, I finally have a fix! There are residue files existing in a Registry location you need to delete before you reinstall "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sven Co-op team\Sven Co-op\".

Alternatively if you're lazy download Geek Uninstaller, it will search for the residue files automatically when you uninstall Sven Co-op, it saved me. GL
