HOW DO I PLAY PRIVATE SVEN COOP HL1 CAMPAIGN?
Me and my friend are tired of trying this ... game works. We've tried everything. How in the Earth can we play on a private server without mods and paying stuff, invisible players, etc?

Sorry if I'm a bit frustrated but I really want to play all dem games.

'Start new game'. Pick -sp_campaign_portal as the map and set a password in the 'Game' tab.

still they can't join.. Do I need to try with dedicated server?

You need to set up a listen server via portforwarding. i had to do the same thing, because I was in your exact situation at one point.

It seems a little daunting at first, but follow this guide. Eventually, you'll get it, and you can play private matches.
