Report a translation problem
You can use the sliders in the gameplay menu to set the behaviour of the camera. Try checking the "camera collision" option. I can only guess that you are annoyed at the camera not adjusting to terrain, blocking your view. Camera collision allows the camera to change angle when it "collides" with the terrain.
In narrow corridors the camera will behave erratically. Try having a closer zoom in these situations and a top-down angle.

But after playing the Xbox version for months, I'm really used to having a free camera to turn around and zoom in/out. I've fiddled with the settings but none of them seem right.
I do have a wired 360 controller for my PC but that doesn't seem to work in Sacred 2 :(
I can rotate the camera and zoom in-out but I can't seem to 'tilt' the camera like I can with the 360 controller. I'd just like to tilt the camera about 20degs to give me a better view.

I didnt like the camera either and I found a fix online....but cant remember where....Google it
