This game is gorgeous, too bad the camera doesn't want me to look at it
Any mods or something that give you more camera freedom?

oooorrr you go to "%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2" (hidden folder) where you can find your "options.txt".
Now create a new txt file and name it "optionscustom.txt".
Open that file and enter:

-- Kamera Einstellungen

camera.behaviour = 0
camera.customsettings = 1
camera.cameraShake = 1

camera.cam1_trackdist_max = 2000
camera.cam1_trackdist_min = 140
camera.cam1_rotx_min = -0.20

camera.dng1_trackdist_max = 2000
camera.dng1_trackdist_min = 140
camera.dng1_rotx_min = -0.05

camera.heromenu_trackdist_max = 2000
camera.heromenu_trackdist_min = 140
camera.heromenu_rotx_min = 0.05

options.camera_mode = 3
options.cameraConfigAutoCurve = 0
options.cameraConfigCollision = 0
options.cameraConfigFollow = 0
options.cameraConfigZoomCurveMax = 20
options.cameraConfigZoomCurveMin = 0
options.cameraConfigZoomMax = 20
options.cameraConfigZoomMin = 0

Save the file and start the game. That are my fav. settings so feel free to play around with that!

even accessing the program (86) files was new to me so I could get this game to work on Win 7 64 so is it possible to be more specific were to add this file I just tried and looked and could not thanks if can hlp :)

First of all you need to activate the option to see hidden folders. For that are tons of guides in the web.
Second is realy easy. Just press [windowskey]+[R] and paste
%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2
and hit enter. Thats it.

Hope that helps :)

don't care about camera mod, just take the settings above. It's hard to find and imo not worth it!

So are these settings basically a must use for thsi game? HAven't finished d/l yet so haven't seen how it works so...lol
Sneak0r Jul 30, 2013 @ 5:02pm
Ofc its not a must have! That are just custom settings for more precise camera settings.
You can handle much with the ingame options!

I played the game for many many hours on console, and slightly less on pc (due to so many bugs) with default camera. it's...different, but fine.

Thanks for the tips, now the camera is way better and useful. Bumped this thread as others may find this fix as helpful and easy to change as I did,
Thanks again to both of you.
