Sacred 2 Gold

game is too easy what can i do?
I read somewhere that you have to play through on one difficulty to unlock the next, is this true? Are there any mods that give the game a reasonable difficulty? I started the game on silver and its boring as hell, due to lack of challenge.

Normal monsters cant scratch me and everything dies in a few hits. Only mob so far that was able to damage me was the kobold boss. But since you can just down potion after potion, you are pretty much immortal. Does this change on higher levels? ( right now i play without using potions but its still extremly easy).

I agree the game is too easy but i dont really mind it because if you ever have played a too hard game then you rather end up getting stressed and angry then having fun.
Too easy aint perfect i prefer Normal of a challange.

In higher levels i wont say it gets harder, as you get more and more overpowered, as far as i remember only the Bosses are a challange on higher levels. But then agian you can use poitions versus bosses.

I havent died a single time just yet.

Try out difficult builds, like a melee High Elf, or an Inquisiter (a class I have always had trouble building). Set yourself challenges, like no potions, or rings.

I am not a big fan of giving my self weird handicaps, it takes the fun away. Right now i play without potions and even when i pull 5-6 groups of monsters i dont even get close to dieing.

I really like the combat skills so its a shame that it is this easy. Maybe i should just try to return it, because right now it just feels like a brainless hack and slash game.

I am playing on silver, highest i can. But feels like i am playing very easy

So just killed the gar collossus without potions and he was supposed to be a boss :(. Only died once when he was a few hits away from death, though could have avoided it if i had known he triggers cooldowns.
Is there nothing i can do to make the monsters have a chance? Like tripling their life and damage? I tried googling for mods but can only find old posts saying it isnt allowed

Feels like i am playing some kind of god send to destroy every living creature

what level is your character, cause your making it sound as if your overleveled.

level 20 and i am at the kraken thing in the orc territory. I dont do any side quests and just run through the main quests. The kraken was super easy aswell and none of the orcs/ogres/goblins are any match.
Like i said i can gather 5-6groups of monsters and slaughter them easily.

well idk my exp was way different when i played over 1-2 years ago, i had to kite teh golem so he wouldnt roflstomp me and the kraken was so annoying cause my atks missed alot, and his hp regen was nuts. maybe the game has changed since then, i guess ill find out as im thinking of buying it soon.

I play a shadow warrior with skeletons and the skeletal tower. The tower completly owned the golem, his health regeneration did not even get close to the damage i was doing. The tower kills everything in its 20 second duration except bosses, they take 2-3towers. Even when i lure large groups of mobs they just die in seconds

Kraken was slightly more difficult because my skeletons only attacked it when i did, which made it near impossible to dodge its attacks. So i was forced to use a few potions to counter this glitch

I got the sacred 2 gold edition and community patch. If there is no way to make it more difficult i will try to return it

The game is fairly tough on silver at the very beginning but indeed eases it out as you get more powerful. My advice is just play hardcore mode and see how far you get without dying. Once careless move can cost you so it encourages you to play more carefully and not get cocky.

not possible to die with potions. Hardcore does not increase the enemies damage/lifepoints. I have had a way to easy time since i got like lvl 4

I made it to lvl 20 before getting bored. All i did was run from one main quest to the next and butcher everything on my way in seconds. Not even the bosses where any threat and i play without potions

Nanaki, just blitz through the main quest once to unlock gold then if its still too easy, blitz through again to get platinum, and if thats STILL too easy go through again and unlock niob.
Thats what i did when i used to play about a year or so ago. Once get the hang of the mechanics and a good build going, it does seem to easy on silver. Just wait till Niob+HC
Pretty much what Ismelly said. Just keep playing through the main story until you unlock the higher difficulties. Or, go to your install folder, then scripts, then server and then open the 'Balance.txt' file. Open it with a notepad and search for all occasions where the word 'enemy' shows up..you'll see some numbers. Just adjust each number upwards in units of 10's, 100's, and 1000's.

Make sure to back up your file first, of course. This should increase mob difficulty.

Yeah, if you keep rushing through the main quest on the lower levels without dying, pretty soon the trash mobs will start coming up ten levels higher than you, and it's slightly more challenging starting with gold level. Don't die, though! That will reset your "survival bonus" to zero, and the mobs will go back to being the same level as your toon. The game has a really stiff death penalty, courtesy of the survival bonus leveling system.

None of the bosses are hard until you get to the dragon caves on Seraphim Island, and those are only moderately hard. There are some easter egg bosses scattered through the game that are a bit harder. The final bosses at the end can mop the floor with you until you learn some of the tricks.

Also, the shadow warrior and the seraphim are the two toughest, easiest classes to play. Try a "squishy" class like inquisitor or half elf if you want to feel a bit more vulnerable.

And, keep in mind what kind of game this is. It's designed to be a mindless, fun, hack-n-slash looting game. The object is to collect sets and to get your character to the highest level possible. It's not really supposed to be all that challenging. It's also built from the ground up to support multi-player games.

What's your survival bonus at? If you die lots of times, the game will stay easy.
