Sacred 2 Gold

Sacred 2 Gold

HUD disappearing randomly
Sometimes when I open and close world map my HUD (health display, skills etc.) disappears completely. To get it back I have to open-close world map several times. This also rarely happens as a result of some other actions, can't quite remember what else triggers this. I know this is a known issue with seemingly no cure, but... maybe? I still have some hope. Tried CM, Purist fix and various compatibility settings - nothing worked. Any help appreciated!

When it does that I Port to the nearest gate and it comes back. .. somewhat annoying but not fatal.

I never had that happening to me, even with my Sacred 2 CD-DVD after updating it with Community Patch[darkmatters.org] (obviously right after updating the game to Ascaron Entertainments's last official patch).
And now with Sacred 2 Gold it's working similar. You either install the Community Patch to try and iron most bugs left lingering (and then eventually place Enhanced Edition[darkmatters.org] mod on top with JSGME) or simply install the Purist Fix Pack[darkmatters.org] (without the Community Patch, ofc).

Just as a side note, it's advisable to let JSGME install your mods apart the Community Patch to make their removal back way more easier. :baa:

As EmY1C4 stated above his/her solution for when the Sacred 2's HUD (heads-up display) disappears is to simply open the map and teleport to the closest Portal and then head back to where you were. And it usually solves his/her problem.

I also had the problem and after some testing it seems to be a framerate issue. If you limit the game's framerate (i chose 80) the issue no longer happens.

A lot of older games were designed to run on 30 fps because that was the limit available back then. Once I learned this, I started setting the fps for a bunch of my old games to 30 and it's solved numerous issues.
set V-Sync to on in the main menu. this fixed other problems as well.
