Just Cause 3 wont launch

My just cause 3 wont launch when i click play. I open the task manager and it says it is running though :(

(there is a solution if you have the resolution standing on 1799 x 992 you have to make it higher or lower and it works this prblem is solved)

I have decided to get a refund of this crappy game. My computer can run Tomb Raider rises on Ultra but I can't even start this game!! So sad

gentlemen took 2 months and the problem that I start Just Cause 3, and when it gets to charge online before it starts the game in full screen opens and closes !!! and if I start full-screen is also closed, or solve this or please make the return of the money we paid for the game, it is not just that these things pay the end user !!

my pc is a i7 4770k with 16gb of ram and nvidia gtx 970 oc gigabyte

So it seems the issue is not a specs problem. The game was just thrown out without fixes. That's rubbish.

I FOUND A TEMPORARY WORKAROUND....

Go to the games settings in your documents folder (c:\users\"username"\my documents\square enix\just cause 3\saves\0\

Use notepad to edit settings.json (be sure to make a copy in case you screw something up).

Make sure to change "DisplayFullscreen" to 0, width and height to your resolution (5040x1050 didn't work for me using three screens as it came out stretched but at 1680x1050 it worked fine on one screen).

It's in a window, It's ugly and annoying, especially when having 3 screens and having to turn two of the off but it works and is fully playable!

P.S. make sure to run the game in Administrator mode to make sure that save games work.

verify game cache in steam go to properties local files and verify or if by any chance u have put any mods in your game remove it
remove the dropzone file from the just cause 3 directory where u saved it hope this helps

what worked for me was buying a new monitor just the new resolution solved the problem for me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ random

Guys. There is no solution that works for everyone. If you find something that works, share it. But not everything has worked for everyone. This game is just poorly made. I'm getting a new graphics card this weekend and maybe that will fix it. I'll let you guys know.

I have found a solution. Open task manager. launch the game. In task manager find the crash report thing. end the task. play just cause 3.

been running jc3 for a couple of weeks now, no problems with it. shut it down, went away for weekend and when i went to play it, it says app is running, but yet nothing on the screen, went through the stuff they told me to try, still not working. Maybe i will re-install the game and see what happens then.

I find when i do play it have play in a windowed version, then it wont lock up and i have to exit and start over again

Try my fix, close the crash report sender. I made a batch file to launch the game and automatically close it. Maybe this will work for you?

I can play the game for about 5 minutes, then it just freezes and throws a DirectX error. Flashes so fast you cant read it.
