Slow Motion type lag?
So I recently bought Just Cause 3 and it has a wierd type of lag, almost as if the game were in slow motion, but it doesn't stutter. My pc has an Intel-core i7 4510U and a Nvidia 820m. For RAM I have 8 gigabytes and 2 gigabytes dedicated memory. If you have any possible solutions let me know.

Motion blur is turned on in graphic settings. Without it, it will stutter, be sure :-)
Your graph card is way to slow for JC3... The solution is obvious.
Best regards!

I seriously doubt it's my graphics card. My computer greatly exceeds the requirements. I'll try to play with the settings more

I get random almost slow motion freezing and found out that its the textures render distance thats freezing the game. When it happens try looking at a nearby texture for a pop in. I have no idea if there is anyway to extend this render distance because its ungodly short distance.

You can doubt it, but it wont help :-) You need at least GTX660 or similar (for minimum, and it means all "off" and low resoultion, and ofcourse not in FULL HD...
I dont know where did you read that your graph card/chip "greatly exceeds req," ?
Its a laptop, right?

If you google your graph card, this is what you'll get:
"Performance:
In our gaming benchmarks, the 3D performance of the GeForce 820M is similar to the former GT 720M and the Intel Iris Graphics 5100. This places the card in the entry level segment. Current games (as of 2013/2014) will run fluently only in low settings and resolutions."

And JC3 is VERY hungry for graph card speed...

It's not my graphics card at all because it has the same type of lag in highest graphics setting as it does in lowest graphics settings, therefore eliminating my graphic card as the issue. I've come to the conclusion from doing more extensive research that the issue is in fact my RAM.

dude, nvidia 820M is way to slow for JC3... it's not due to ram :-) I had slow motion/stuttering on GTX660, and now sometimes even on GTX960... but much better then before..
This graph chip is for desktop use, not games.
But, ... as you wish, go ahead with the RAM...
good luck!
regards!

820M is graphic card for The Sims, Fifa or maybe World of Warcraft, not for new games like this..

Then why does it run games that are far more graphically challenging without lag?

JC3 is among the top games for graph performance...open world, lots of details etc...
Name those more challenging games, that 820m can run without lag on 1920*1080 please :-)

Planetside 2... enough said already. Don't even have to name anymore if it can run that.

oh, man... you are so stubborn.. why did you post a question in the first place?
You got the answer and it's 100% sure... read the minimum requirements for JC3.
Play other games, sell your copy of JC3, and be happy.
End of discussion. Have a nice day :-)

Sorry to be stubborn. But I was actually right and RAM was the solution. I put in more RAM and the game runs much better now. Problem solved.
