So, is the vehicles handling improved over Just Cause 2?
I played more of Just Cause 2 on PS3 than on PC as it was crashing for me quite often ever since I made a jump from Vista to W7, but this applies to all of the game versions.

Basically speaking, the vehicle handling in Just Cause 2 was really awful. Driving any sort of a bike, car etc. was an utter pain as they weren't turning, but sliding on the road and there wasn't any sort of "pressure sensitivity" of how far you turned the analog stick. You could barely turn it let's say right, and vehicle was turning in that direction slightly for a split second and then it was moving all over the place.

Using any sort of sports cars was just useless as they were sliding so terribly, even when driving straight, that there was no way to cut even the smallest corners.

This made me wonder: Will vehicles handling in Just Cause 3 be improved over its predecessor?

It is really important as this game is all about vehicles apparently ;).

Thanks in advance for the response :).

I hope the game is not all about vehicles :D but yes, it's something we have been working on improving.

I may disagree with you on the graphics, but I gotta agree here. The faster vehicles were a nightmare to keep under control in JC2. Most my chases ended up with me speeding down the road, losing control, bouncing into the jungle (by this point the vehicle is typically trashed or dangerous to stay in due to gunfire), and then me parachute gliding up a mountainside.

Yep, we went through the JC2 forums when we started developing the game and that was one of the points people were mentioning so yep...working on it. :)

Did you saw any gameplay yet yourself and can confirm that it indeed have been improved :)?

Maybe not, but given the open world theme, they are playing a huge role in this game ;). In JC2 all vehicles were simply unenjoyable, with exception of tanks and planes which handled awesome. Choppers were also kind of choppy and they were far too slow.

I play/test the game on regular basis. So yep. It's still WIP though.

But that doesn't confirm anything :/. I do get that it's work in progress, but if you're playing the game on regular basis, do you feel like the vehicles handling is better this time around or does it still feels like being on a boat when driving, e.g Just Cause 2?

I defo feel it's better. It's not like JC2 for sure. But what I'm saying is that is still being worked on so I can't confirm the final state.

Cool, thanks for the reply ;). It's great news as handling in JC2 was simply terrible.
haha, yeah it was not the best. :D

That's an understatement I'm afraid ;D.

The larger, slower, and heavier vehicles in JC2 were just perfect. They had a sense of power when going uphill. Shifting into the lower gears, stopping, and rolling coal to power up those hills was cool to watch.

The sports cars though... I wouldn't touch them with the fullest extent of the grappeling hook. The 999 and 1001 were speed demons, but you try to turn while at speed, then you were pulling that parachute button because there was NO chance of saving that.

The Titus ZJ was the only controlable sports car in my experience. The other hundred-some vehicles did pretty well. Just super slidey at speed and no fine steering.

That's my whole point man ;). Vehicles handling (with the exception of tanks and planes/copters) was simply horrible and completely unresponsive. Heck, 95% of the time even driving straight was impossible because everything was sliding all over the place xD.

I just hope that they seriously fixed this part of the game.

dude the bike controll in just cause 3 is a total bag of ♥♥♥♥♥, please PLEASE release a patch on that, there is still no "pressure sensitivity" for bikes, although the cars are much better.
