Is there a sprint button?
title says it all pretty much. I noticed a lot of people are asking random things about the game and getting responses, so I was just wondering if you have an option to sprint because most of the gameplay videos I've show Rico sprinting.

nope, you don't need it. He runs and then he has a grapple which is way faster than sprinting

Don't need it? what about running around military bases and evading enemy fire? It's silly to think you don't need it. You didn't technically need it in JC2 but it's nice for sprinting around small areas.

He's always running so you don't need it

But it would be helpful to make him actually sprint.

That is where grapple comes in. Aim at the ground, the top of structure, etc way in front of you, hit grapple and he moves quickly to where you placed your grapple point.

JC2 had sprint and a dodgeroll thing; the roll was slightly faster than sprint, so you would end up just rolling around like a tumbleweed in a wild west movie whenever in combat. It was pretty ridiculous.

Doge Roll was useful though. Basically became invincible during the animation.

Sprinting was....dumb. It seemed like you ran the same speed except the camera zoomed in a shook a lot.

You actually walked at 20 and sprinted at 30 kilometers per hour in jc2. It was so inferior to grappling somewhere most people never tried for long enough to find out.

The fact is, you don't need to sprint anymore becaues you're already running as fast as you need to.

It would be pointless.

You have grappling and there's probably still a roll button.

Finally! My shift key was about to fall off from sprinting in third person shooters!

I know this is an old topic, but since the game was just made free on PS4 for the month (I don't have a gamefaq so this will do) I thought it was relivent enough to just throw my hat in the ring. Everyone who talks about the lack of sprinting forgets one thing: Miniguns. I know, you have an amazing arsenal of weapons at your disposal, but I remember using sprint to hobble along with a mini gun in JC2 and it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Now, if you want to pull off a TF2 Heavy impression, you have to move like a snail while being bombarded on all sides. Not easy to get to cover while your lugging around a massive gun.

So, for everyone saying sprinting doesn't have a use, you clearly didn't take the head on approach to JC2, and aren't effected, great, bugger off. As for those like me that want it, it's not possible on PS4, but I think everyone who plays on PC would either be indifferent or thankful for a sprint mod.

You couldn't sprint with a minigun in Jc2, at least not on pc, or at the very least I couldn't.
