Is it really that fricking hard just to give us the setting? Your trash game is unplayable because of this.
I'm asking for one little slice of redemption to ATTEMPT to make the game playable beyond on the ridiculous performance issues.
The JC3 developers are unwilling to put in 2 minutes of work to fix their horrid FOV even with the overwhelming criticism in forums everywhere; I have no confidence in them actually improving anything with the PC versions - but I've sure seen the lip service from them...
KEEP BUMPING THESE FOV POSTS until they do something.
I'm gonna offer multiple choice on the only possible reasons FOV hasn't been adjusted despite overwhelming criticism from the PC community:
1. Console Devs, they don't see any problem.
2. PC version instantly becomes more desirable than console, not cool for Console devs.
3. Two entire minutes of changing a number from 60 to 90 is not only time consuming, but far beyond the competence level we expect from the JC3 AAA development studio
4. All of the above.
The reason that list feels 'unfair', is because it is unfair. Unfair to the PC gamers who plunked down $50 for a game that makes them nauseous, cannot experience JC3 with joy, and have buyers remorse layered with irritation that they supported the kind of lazy porting that has no business being supported.
I'm annoyed by the lack of basic requirement knowledge AAA development studios have these days with PC FPS/TPS games. Here's your list future PC game developers, put it in your snippet bible:
1. Don't lock the framerates. Allow a minimum of 60 (120-144 becoming standard).
2. Don't lock the resolutions. Allow 1080p or more.
3. Don't lock the FOV. Allow 90 or more.
4. Don't cripple control remappings. Allow full range remapping of controls for keyboard and mouse.
Get with it devs, this isn't something new -- it's the same class of requirements that, if not implemented, have sunk port after port since port became a thing...
That's the issue right there. The JC dev's outsourced this clevelend steamer of a game to a group of contractors on the other side of the world.
Yep..mind blowing. Nauseating, too.
STFU and get your refund you assmonkey, god your like a whinny little girl.
Dev's lock this trivial thread please.
I got it. I'll use it to buy and mail you a tampon.
