Way to disable leaderboards?

I don't care AT ALL about the leaderboard stuff. Every time I load in I get spammed with leaderboard updates for like 60 seconds, with random people I don't even know. I turned off the "extended leaderboards" options in the menu but I notice no difference whatsoever.

Is there a wayto completely disable them? I don't care about them at all and they're annoying.

the only way i've found to block all this crap is to go into widows fire wall, and block the app from there. here's the path: control panel; system and security; windows firewall; advanced settings; inbound rules; new rule; program; program path (show it the justcause3.exe), block connection; finish and exit.

this did not work for me. i start the game and Mr. dodo beat my score at stunt driver. i am not doing a stunt driving mission im just trying to play story mode.
