Can someone share their savefile?
Long story short, I've been forced to start from scratch twice now. I completed the first two regions on my first playthrough and again when I had to restart. Now I have to do it again... 10 hours of the same stuff...

Please can someone who has completed the first region, the first and second region, or anything in between share their savefile? It would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I posted this set of backup saves I had for a couple other people on my site linked below. Each folder is a full Save Folder, you can just copy each folder over your "Just Cause 3" folder and make sure to rename it "Just Cause 3" so the game recognizes it. Here's the link:

There are save files in this set where I just started the Big Island to the north, did the first missioin there (the Train mission) and got that UMBRA hidden air base. I think there's earlier ones too, you just have to check them out, look at your Map and Progress panel to see what's been done in each one. Please let me knkow when you get these files. Also, I liberated the dual runway air field on the big island so I could use the Carpet Bomber jet early in the game.

If you have any questions let me know.

I replace the Just Cause 3 folder with one of yours but nothing changes in-game. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

(I am running the game as administrator)

The game saves everything into a Single Folder called "Just Cause 3" located in Documents/Square Enix. Here's how I do it when moving my saves between computers at my house...
STEPS:
1-Move//Backup the existing "Just Cause 3" folder in your Document/Square Enix folder to another location, leaving Square Enix folder empty.
2-Then copy any ONE of the folders you see after you unzipped the file you downloaded from my site into the Square Enix folder AND...
3-Rename that folder "Just Cause 3" (without the quotes)
4-That's it. Each of those folders contains one Save, this is how I do it. I play on two PCs and am constantly moving my lates save between PCs.

If this doesn't make sense please let me know, we will get it working.

OH, and I think the ONLY thing you needed to do was Rename the folder you copied to the standard/required name of "Just Cause 3" (without quotes) and you shoudl be good.

I do exactly what you say but still nothing changes. Both of your copies of Just Cause 3 are linked to the same Square account I presume? So maybe it's impossible to share saves amongst different accounts?

I am not sure. I just did this with two other people and one posted success and the other was waiting to see if he could recover his original save first.

Important Test - Is JC3 saving to Documents/Square Enix folder?:
TRY THIS as a test to see if JC3 is actually using that Save Folder you have been working with..
Remove everything from that Square Enix folder and then start the game. IF that is the right folder and if you remove all folders in the Square Enix folder THEN the game should start up without the Continue option, like you are starting a brand new game. But if it starts normally showing the Continue option then you know that folder you have been working in is not where the game is saving your games to. It's either saving somewhere else on using Steam Cloud. You might need to turn off Cloud Saves for JC3 to get it to use that folder, maybe that's why you can't replace your save, it's saving to the Steam Cloud, but I thought that was bugged.

Let me know what you find.

See the thread below after you prove to yourself that the game is saving IN the location you have been copying new folder into. Noticed in the thread one post about a Folder names "7", that might be important, not sure. I am not sure if that''s the key, maybe you only copy folder 7 into the Just Cause 3 folder. You can see which person had success, maybe you can message him.

Here's the Tip that might be the key:
Asator Posted...
you should take the files in the folder "7...." to put them in your "7...." folder

So that might be what you need to do, put your original Just Cause 3 folder back in the Documents/Square Enix folder THEN copy the Files in the "7" folder from MY save folder and into your "7" folder. THAT would solve the unique account issue you mentioned. If you don't have an original Just Cause 3 folder anymore you can just start a new game, do enough to where the game Saves and then use that newly created Just Cause 3 folder and again, copy the Files in my "7" folder into your "7" folder. It worked for Asator. Please let me know if this works, it's good to know since this will probably come up again. Thanks!

@Meatninja ...You said that nothing changes in the game when you copy my save folder into the Squae Enix folder, that is starts just like it did before, that seems odd since, if anything, you would expect JC3 to not be able to find your old save if you moved it out of that the Square Enix folder and since the Cloud supposidly is not working for JC3. That is what makes me wonder if your save if being stored somewhere else and not in the default loction. Also, the Square account issue you mentioned makes sense and that last method I suggested (described by Asator) must work since Astor has success doing that. Anyway, hope you got it figured out. JC3 is a great game and after I saw so many people having save file problems I started making a copy of mine a couple times each day. Enjoy!

Well thanks! I love gaming and interacting with fellow gamers discussing new games and exploring solutions to issues. I always appreciate it when others help me or share interesting info on these forums. Times like now when we have multiple AAA games being released for the holdiays are always a blast and interacting with other gamers adds a lot to the overall expierence. Thanks agan for the kind words, enjoy a great year in games and Happy Holidays!

The reason nothing changed is because the game was still at the very first mission. I'm gonna try all the stuff you mentioned as soon as I get home and I'll let you know if I got it to work, thanks.
