If you have BEX 64 problems on Windows 7, try setting the exe to compatibility mode for "windows 7"

I know, that sounds insane, but changing the exe properties so that, on windows 7, it executes in compatibility mode, with as compatibility target windows 7 itself, the BEX error no longer triggers. Presumably the forced compat mode locks down whatever the game otherwise tries to call that trips DEP and throws up the BEX error, and if you're getting BEX errors and haven't tried this yet: worth a shot before deciding to either get a refund or upgrade your machine (the latter being Square's recommendation, which is a little out there, as far as advice goes).

Of course if you're on an AMD graphics card, you might still run into the missing face rendering issue (hey! that's me!), but at least the game will _run_ =)

No idea why I can't just write BEX 64 as one word, but if I do, the steam forums turn it into BEX64, which is very, very strange.

1. in your favourite file manager, go to your steam -> steamapps -> common -> just cause 3 dir, right click on the JustCause3.exe file, go to the compatibility tab, turn it on, and pick windows 7. Then run the game by double-clicking it through your file manager, not through steam (yes, all the steam things will still kick in, but the execution trigger isn't steam-managed, which also helps because that trigger has to cross execution-prevention checks, too).
