Game causes Win 7 screen/color calibration to revert to default
I don't know if this has been discussed already, or if there is a fix?

Anyway, running Just Cause 3 causes my screen and color calibration to revert to default. I then have to restart my computer to revert to my own calibration again.

I'm not sure, but I think the revert happens right after I launch the game. If not it happens when I exit to Windows, which takes an awfully long time btw.

Is there any way I can lock my calibration so that it doesn't revert every time I play the game?

Thanks in advance

I only get the "The Windows color-sheme has been changed" (or what's it called in english, however) notification after closing the game, sometimes. But that's nothing a "keep the old one and don't show up again, blabla" click on that button wouldn't fix.

Thanks. I get that too sometimes after closing games, but it's usually not a big hassle.
This is something else though.

I just launched the game now to see when the revert actually happens, and it's clear that the calibration resets during the lenghty server log-in process. I can see that the contrast changes during that log-in screen, and alt tabbing out of the game I can clearly see the effect.

Yeah this is not new. It happens with many games. This is a driver problem. I know that this happens with nvidia cards but i don't know about amd. Also they won't fix it. Look at the date of the following thread. It's active even today but nvidia don't care.

I use a program called CPKeeper as a workaround. But it don't work with every game. For Just Cause it works.

Aha I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the additional information. I'm using an Nvidia card so yeah, it makes sense I guess. Except it's pretty odd they won't fix it.

Ha and only now did I realize that I don't have to restart the PC to get my calibration back, it's enough to simply log out and then back into my account. That's bearable at least.

This is an issue with Avalanche's games. Mad Max has the same issue. All of my other games do not do this.

Still it is the task of the drivers to this. Not of the game. So it is nvidias fault. They have to implement this feature in their drivers.
