Rebels getting in chopper/plane?

I know you can honk the horn to get rebels to get in your vehicle. They will man the gun or even drive to your waypoint (or aimlessly if you dont have one set) if you jump on the hood/the gun yourself. But what about choppers and planes? I mean there's that one chopper that is specifically for transport.

Speaking of transport, there's a transport military vehicle as well that apparently only seats one driver and one gunner? Lol. It has a hatch in the back and everything.

I was just gonna say that! So, yep, rebels can get on the planes with you.

From my experience you can't, they break the tether before you can take off. Haven't tried while hovering a helicopter though.

The grapple will kill them if you take off in the helicopter or whatever, yep. You'll see their blood splash out all over and then you're carrying a corpse.

It seems happen within the first few seconds of the flight so I suppose the game is programmed to kill them. I have taken off in all manor of ways and they die everytime in the first few seconds.

It sucks lol. I actually like travelling with these guys but there isn't a whole lot of control over what they do. I wish I could actually get them in the vehicles made for transport, or tell them where to go or give basic commands like follow me. If I'm the "king of the rebels" I should be able to give orders :)

Yeah it would be cool to get a rebel in a plane you could take them anywhere!!

I remember that i did once use the rebels in a battle. I dragged two cars over the sea by the transport boat, with people on. I gotta say, they do make good cannon fodder

I stuffed some in a transport and used them to take a base once, but it was more effort than it was help.

To make them leave the car, you can at least throw them out of it, if you get in the car right. You have to do it on the side they're on, and they can't be driving. There may be more to it, but IDK.

What happens if you fill a car with Rebels, then attach the car to a helicopter? Can you fly rebels over a place and they will shoot downwards?

I was looking for this subject. Instead I got a car, filled it with rebels, and thetered(?!) them to my heli. Airlift dropoff! XD
