Just Cause 2, is it still better than 3?
Yes. It is.
I'm not saying it's going to stay like that but as of now Just Cause 3 has horible gameplay and horible glitches. Not to mention the things they've removed.
Cars. Cars handle like total crap.
You know driving in GTA IV at highspeed? Yeah multiply that by 10 and make the camera angles of the car pure sh!t.
No sprinting. You can either walk or... jog?
The redid the grapple and holy heII is it hard to get used to.
They remapped F to RMB.
So now when I press F because I'm still used to using F to launch the grapple I end up throwing a gernade and either ♥♥♥♥ myself over or fail the mission.
That's not too bad of a problem though because Just Cause 3 was made to where I can re map keys and stuff so I can play how I like. (I've played games recently that you can't reset keys)
Hmmm lets see what else.....
Combat?
You know how in JC2 you could melee someone and a big spike would be swung by your grapple leaving you feeling like a total bad4ss. Yeah take that away from them and make you have to be 2 inches away from an enemy to actually HIT them.
Visual glitches? Performance issues?
Yep, it's got em'.
But kuddos they released a patch and Nvidia and AMD both have new drivers for the game which help a heII ton.
Saving? Yeah forget that. It's d4mn near impossible.

So yeah, if I hadn't totally burned myself out on Just Cause 2 I'd be playing it but after playing the loooooooong single player and putting decent hours into the multiplayer mods I was ready for something new.. I'll be honest.. I hyped this game more than Fallout 4 and I think with a decent patch this game can be amazing. Just a few things that need updating and fixing but the fact the devs are releasing games that are.. ummmm... Unfinished is unacceptable.
Problem is, we as gamers, accept it. We buy games and then complain because they're broken.
How to fix this? Dont buy the games... Problem is thats not going to happen.
Well I guess sorta rant is over.

I'm in doubt that mods have been dev'd this early but if they're any mods like the Gentlemen of the Row mod for Saints Row 2 leemmmmeeee knooooow.
Thanks.

Lmao
I'm running a GTX 970 and an AMD FX 8320 and I get 60 FPS mostly which is enough for me.
and I'm not sure if salty is the right word either considering I'm probably going to be launching the game again soon.

Your JC2 crashes?
Only thing that has ever crashed was the multiplayer mod and it doesn't crash too much.

I had over 100 hours in JC2. I plan to play JC3 for awhile yet. I think JC3 is better overall, but lacks a lot of the details that it should have.

You covered those details well.

Runs fine on my i7-3930K with GTX 690 BUT Just Cause 2 was so much better in many important ways. I have 524 hours shown for JC2 and am into JC3 for 37 hours and JC3 is just boring and pretty darn ugly as compared to JC2. Take a look at some JC2 YouTube videos, no comparison really. I have a feeling they had to reduce texture quality in order to cram more game world background activity, more NPCs and things making the game world feel more alive, a good thing. I REALLY hate that they doubled down on Challenge type activities instead of creating more missions, that to me makes the game feel empty, generic and boring.

as hard as i tried to like JC2, i just couldn't stick with it. something seemed to be missing

JC3 has been a great blast so far, it's definitely one of the better games i've bought recently.

opinions vary i guess.

Did some people get a different version of the game than me or something? Cars handle infinitely better than they did in JC2, the grapple is a hell of a lot better once you get used to it, the performance isn't bad, no glitches and only one crash in 40 hours of play, and so on.

It's a hell of a lot better than JC2 and the challenges are actually not an exercise in frustration.

I'm getting 60fps with minor drops @ 1080p with near max graphics, while using an ancient nvidia driver with my 780.

I think this is most peoples' problem. This is the reason I didn't play Just Cause 2 much recently. But to be fair, promotional youtuber gameplays hyped this game up alot. Even youtube let's plays of Sims or some other boring game can make those game look fun.

But it's not a boring game, and If you enjoy it for what it is, the game is fine (bar technical issues and wonky driving). Once the kinks are worked out it will be great. I'm hoping the future DLC's for this game will increase the content a lot (unlike JC2 DLC).

Devs have a hard job. No matter what decisions they make someone will hate it. No two gamers will ever agree on anything so one will always hate something in a game that the other likes. They must sometimes just be trying to piss off the least number of people possible.

One day in the not too distant future we will all look back fondly at JC3 and ask why new games can't be more like JC3.

I think the Devs should have delayed the game to patch this.
There's no way this got through testing... that is if the PC port was even tested.

They may not have had that option. Publisher might have called the shots.

JC2 is one of my favorites of all time. The remapped some of the controls and you mess up on 3 by habitually using the control from JC2. I run out of grenades.
The vehicle handling is terrible compared to 2.
Don't understand developers using the CAPS key.
CTRL instead of ESC on menus - that has to be a first.
Doesn't feel open world
50GB if drive space. Too many games bloated with video.
JC 3 is a 2 compared to JC2.

Pretty much anything said here.
