[Solved] Jet missiles not locking on - Rico and the Rose

Hey,
some of you might be aware that there was a bug with the first mission of act 3.
While piloting a jet, you need to shoot down enemy jets with homing missiles. these missiles do not lock-on and the mission is not winnable.
the solution was found in a different thread. enabling the mod "precision aim" bugs out the auto-targetting of some weapons.
i disabled precision aim and now have completed the mission.
all props to user "omegacute" for figuring out that this specific upgrades messes with the lock-on.

keep on wreaking havoc, fellow ricos.

I just disable it and the missicles still can't lock on target, no idea what to do, the game was fine until I got to this mission.

Disabling precision aim didn't fix the missiles. I'm stuck on this mission.

did you disable it before starting the mission? did you try disabling it and restarting the game?

Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic! I was told to restart the game with no precision aim, did this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ twice already, oh and I'm not talking about the mission, the ENTIRE game. Did this so many damn times and it still doesn't work! Is there a way to refund this piece of garbage? The game is awesome, but this is literally a hard-lock on ALL progress! How the ♥♥♥♥ haven't they patched this?! So many users have this issue and it STILL doesn't work 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years later?!

I haven't even unlocked this gear mod so how can i enable and disable it... if really annoying because without the homing rockets i can finish this mission/game...

I'm here to report, I got this glitch, turned off the precision aim gear mod, quit to windows and restarted the game, and the jet is already locking on in the cave before takeoff.

Avalanche are very good at not fixing bugs after launching a game.

Try locking onto the planes at end of runway or if you have the D.L.C pack, try locking onto something before you start mission using bavarium missiles. This helps identify if the problem is happening, doesn't solve it though.

Quit the game, and restart the quest, when you are inside the airplane on the track try to target the others which are at the end of the field. Auto-Locking Should works,
