[FIX] Temporary Stutter Fix - Disable Leaderboard!
Warning: This disables the Friend-Leaderboard Lists!

  • Search the "Windows Firewall" on you Computer.
  • Open "Advanced Firewall"
  • Make a new OUTGOING Rule
  • Choose the JustCause3.exe at ../Steam/SteamApps/commons/JustCause3/JustCause3.exe
  • Block all Ports and IP's

To go online again ("after a patch or so"), delete the Rule

Go to your Steam Libary -> Just Cause 3 -> Settings -> Disable Steam Overlay

After starting JC3 you will get a Go Offline Mode to choose from.

I also start the Game in Borderless Windowed Mode:
Just Cause 3 -> Settings -> Advanced Start Options -> type: "/borderless /windowed"

Will it still try to connect all the time? Because that would make this highly annoying. Otherwise this might be nice, would like to disable that leaderboard BS anyways.

This is a fantastic offline fix, I consider it perminant!

So this basically confirms that Denuvo is the cause of the issues, right?

Corporate is the cause of the stutter issues, The exe marketing development lead analyst is the cause of the frame rate issues, nearly a direct corrilation, astonishing! someone get IGN here, this is video game jurnalism!

No, it doesn't, this has nothing at all to do with Denuvo.

I tried it for about 10 minuted and it didn't try to reconnect, so I am happy. Thanks, Alex, for the suggestion. Can't comment on the stutters since I never had any but I wanted to get rid of all the "xyz beat you" messages that constantly popped up and that worked nicely.

This is basically the same as playing with Steam in offline mode.
BlackScout Dec 2, 2015 @ 9:18am
Same as Steam Offline, this just reduces a bit of what the game has to process and load into RAM and other resources, that's why it leads to a better performance. We still need a patch though.
I'm just putting in my two cents here, but I doubt online connectivity is causing stuttering. It's still just a game optimization issue. I'm using older hardware and the game is running fine for me.

But if you want to permanently go offline, this is a good fix.
