Game not recognizing my controller

neither just Cause 2 nor 3 are recognizing none of my controllers, wireless 360 wired 360 DS4 and wii u pro, does anybody now how to fix this?

I have the same problem with Just Cause 3 and a PS4 controller. Somebody please help?!

same with just cause 3 with a logitech f710 ,,worked wicked with gta5 you could use keybored or controller together at anytime without leaveing the game i was hoping it would be the same for jc3

i clicked steam big picture used that menu with my controller then went back to desktop mode and played ok with xbox1controller

I have this issue when ever I load up the game, just alt tab and back and it should fix it for you. I t owrks for me so maybe it will work for you.

Alt-tab does not work for me, however, I downloaded InputMapper and that solved my issues.

How do I use inputmapper? i have a wired xbox one controller

Wired Xbox One controllers should work automatically, if not try downloading Xbox One Wired Controller Drivers from the Microsoft website. Inputmapper is a program that takes a ps3 or ps4 controller and makes games think you're using an Xbox controller instead. (More games are compatible with Xbox controllers than with Dualshock controllers, that's why it's useful)

One thing that helped me was going into Big Picture, Controller Settings and forcing the controller bindings to be off. This seemed to make the game able to see the controller. Otherwise, it seemed that steam was converting the controller inputs to keyboard and mouse and those didn't work so well.
