How to use turrets on the APC

So I'm supposed to use the turrets on the APC's to destroy everything in this base but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to shoot with them. Not the mouse buttons and I'm pretty sure I tried every key on the board. According to the controls it's supposed to be the mouse buttons though...

Did you enter the turret after getting in the APC? After entering the APC, hold the E key to move to the turret position, then the mouse button(s) should fire the gun.

Yeah holding the activation key (E) while either in the vehicle or outside of it switches to/enters the turret, switching back is also done by holding it.

Oh and if you are talking about Playstation 4 use triangle key to switch to turret. Simply hold the triangle key while in the app to switch places.
