Cima Leon Centcom. Any way to stop the airstrikes?
For those who haven't reached it yet, its the military facility pretty much in the middle of the first island. I liberated it while under endless air strike suppression, and the air strikes are still happening. What am I missing?

I think it's gonna go away when you're at a certain point in your mission progress.

There's another base called Cima Leon transmitter or something along those lines. If you look at the map there's a road that leads away from Cima Leon Centcom, the base should be down that road. Once you take it over the air strikes wills top.

Was hopeful this would work. But no. I liberated Silo, Centcom, and Transmitter.

Once you have completed the 1st island. Go for Sirroco sud.. liberate it. The entire island like the main island. Then move towards aspera cima leon. Do mission 'the secret of something'. I forgot what that something is but you will get a mission named the secret ........
That is the miasion to disable the airstrike. You will have to follow a pipe and then go underwater and finally end up in a cave. Detroy the 3 main transformers. Better carry a CS Negotiator.

@KamikaziFly-- and a year later, people like me are still encountering the same issue and benefitting from the same comments in this thread.

All three Centcoms have different hostile abilities. Cima Leon is airstrikes, Corda Dracon is EMP blasts, (But you're immune if you're on foot, only affects vehicles,) and Falco Maxime has Bavarium warheads similar to the M488. All three can only be disabled by completing specific missions, but the bases can still be liberated. When you liberate them, the effects stay even though the base belongs to the Rebellion.

You have to complete the mission "The Secret of Vis Electra." It is unlocked after completing "A Terrible Reaction"

Just use the explosives dude. The RPG is better than the nade launcher.

ye, well I liberated it with the airstrikes, it was a unique and challenging. I had to use the tactic of moving around very quickly, and it was pretty fun even though I died a few times. I never rage quit because this game keeps your progress, which is so nice.

I did the exact same thing, since I just kept liberating settlements and just wanted to keep going - what can I say, open world gives you more options. I also tried with the bavarium nukes but that didn't work out as well lol - so that's when I started doing the missions, then got the bavarium jet pack and then kicked myself for not doing at least that one first!!

Same here, liberated everything under airstrikes. The bavarium nukes proved more of a challenge, but it was quite fun keeping on the move constantly.
Hilarious how you liberate the air base and then you still keep getting nuked when you spawn there xD
