Collector's Editition does not come with the Season Pass just the regular game, and if you buy the $70 you probably have to refund the entire game.

I'd wait until the first actual content is released/reviewed. If it isn't just simple variations of stuff you already like, and there's actual missions/improvements/ideas that entice you enough, then go for it.

If the first release of stuff isn't interesting enough, then wait for the next, or the next release after that. If none of it is interesting enough for $20, then wait until a couple of steam sales when it's $5 for the expansion and/or game of the year edition, then upgrade that and enjoy the game from the start again with a whole bunch of additional stuff.

Best way to play in my opinion - with base content first, then if the game is still interesting in half a year, you get a whole new play session out of it, with all the skill you've built up making it more fun the second go-round.

Played Shadows of Mordor 3 times so far - and still have my "ALL DLC" playthrough to go through in a year or so, when it'll feel fresh again. Man, that game can get fun when things get ultra-crazy, facing 6 warlords in close proximity, hiding, ambushing - even before you get the second-area set of skills.

From what we've heard so far today, this game should get just as crazy on second playthrough, pushing your luck... should be very cool.

There's currently absolutely no reason to buy the XL version considering the content for it (the future DLCs) won't be released for quite some time and you can buy the XL upgrade (or the DLC) at any time.

and yea 2$ off =10% not worth the upgrade unless it goes away soon idk

oh ok.. sweet ill hold off on SP content then, skins dont matter to me
and in the end they might come with the SP later idk..
here is hoping that upgrade stays there for good just in case the game is rockin..

btw whats a waste of money? the XL (for now) or the JC3 in general? im lost there..
