Volo Metropole helicopter race.
Holy crap. This thing is really, REALLY hard. I've gotten within .15 seconds of the goal as my best time, but never beaten it.

The other air races are a complete joke compare to this. This needs some adjustment BADLY.

With enough tries I think I can get it, but the 5 gear time goal really should be 5 seconds more than it is. Even with that it'd be really hard, but maybe more of a nice challenge, instead of completely frustrating.

I guess the biggest problem is there is no helicopter well suited to deal with the course. The Navajo is decent, and that's what I got the 1:00.15 time on. It's not fast enough though. The Urga one is fast enough, but way too massive to manuver around the cranes (seriously whoever decided to put the course through the cranes needs to be slapped. You are evil. Everything is in your way there, and it's super hard to see what you will hit before you do).

Yes this race is the hardest imho
I won with the Navajo and with mouse/keyboard
I managed to do it with the winged one (the golden OP shielded one).

The trick I managed to do it with is at the end you can fly UNDER the crane hook things, but it's really really hard. Even after figuring that out it still took quite a few tries to beat.

ehhh. Thats one of the easier air races in my opinion. But maybe its cuz i s'ck with planes but do really well with helis.
Some courses are simply not beatable without nitro. For some its enough with nitro I, some need nitro II.
And as Traeus said, fly under the crane hooks. The given heli (Eubus Eagle) is small and maneuverable enough to do that without much trouble.
Anyways good luck with it.

Here's a tip that worked for me when using a helo for air races. Do not turn using the roll keys and instead make flat turns using mouse control. Rolling turns usually result in uncontrollable over corrections when exiting that either cost time or cause the next target to be missed. Flat turns maintain directional control and speed. With this technique, I easily five starred the subject race with the default helo.

...or use a Thunderhawk and be done with it all in seconds.
