Save games lost

I thought this game had a Steam cloud sync. Oh How wrong I was. Played upto the mission "Derailed Extraction", had unlocked a ton of Gear Mods and now its all gone. So I thought maybe using another save game may help, but a 100% save game wont allow the missions to be replayed if the game is restarted.

Hence asking anyone who is reading this, if you have finished upto the mission "Derailed Extraction", and are about to go into the next one "The Great Escape", can you please share your save game files? I dont care how much map you have freed, or many gear mods you have unlocked. I just wanna finish the story mode without having to replay it all.

I could give you my save file but that is a little bit further into the campaign, like 2-4 missions out of my head. I just completed the mission to disable the FOW on the big island (forgot the name). So it is a little bit further but its something :|

I am "a little" late to this topic, but I am just trying to spam this message over a bunch of these topics in case someone with this problem finds them at a later date.

If this happens to you, be sure to check both save locations. The game sometimes randomly decides to stop looking for your savegame in Documents/Square Enix and start looking in Documents/My Games/Square Enix instead. When you open the game it looks like all progress was lost, but the save file is actually fully intact. Look for the two files and copy the one with the date of your last play session when you still had your save into the location of the newer one (back that one up first just to be sure). Potentially it could also be mixing up My Documents folders from different users on the device, like your personal account and a useless "all users" based folder.
