Everything was fine until I tried the Support Vehicle Frenzy

And then I found that I had no idea how to actually fire the support vehicle weapons. I can't find any mention of how to do it anywhere. HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!

Depends on what controller you use or if it is a keyboard. Things like boats require you to land on them and press the enter vehicle command when you are standing right next to the weapon. For some cars you are driving you hold the enter vehicle command to switch seats. Consider looking for a nearby helicopter with weapons instead of the vehicles. Seems the best way to go about the frenzies to get gears.

I'm using keyboard/mouse. And yes, I enter the vehicle, and then nothing. Mouse buttons carryout no actions.

To use the machine gun turret on any vehicle that has one, hold E (or whatever key you've bound to 'enter vehicle/interact') for a while from Stunt Position or the driver's seat, and your character will automatically start using it.

It's probably better to have a rebel in the passenger seat when using it though, as you cannot drive while operating the gun. Rebels in the passenger's seat may also automatically start using the gun on your vehicle if it has one.

Oh I noticed you mention switching seats. I need to look at how to do that probably.

Oh, I posted before your response appeared. Try checking the PC keybindings in Options and make sure that the hold command wasn't changed somehow. If that doesn't work, I don't know, but it could be something with a malfunctioning timer not counting how long you hold the button ingame.

Sorry to spam this thread, but I realized something. Not sure if it's by a bug or if it's 'intentional,' but sometimes when I start a challenge that spawns a ground vehicle or order one from Rebel drop, it spawns WITH a rebel already inside. Sometimes, they may even be invisible, or silent and lack voice lines. Check if that's happened to you by getting in though the passenger's side, and seeing if the vehicle starts driving to a waypoint you've set.

Thanks to all who responded to this. Problem solved. I just didn't realise that you had to hold the 'Action' key to enter the vehicle as passenger. Only the passenger can use the weapons. That makes sense.

All I need now is someone else to play the challenge for me! lol
