Xbox One Wireless Controller not working with the game

As soon as i start the game my xbox one controller goes out of sync with my wireless adapter, This problem only occurs with this game for some reason. If anyone is experiencing the same issue or has a solution please let me know.

Not surprised at all^^

Seems like new-gen controllers don't work with this game.
Steam-controller also does not work and causes stuttering.

I have more than 200 games and only 2 games don't work with the controller.
JC3 is 1 of them.

Shows again that this game is a bad port.

Eh, but my Xbox One controller with Wireless dongle works without a problem in JC3? So yeah, dunno what the problem is at you but its not like its at everyone.

Btw, checked if your batteries are empty? My controller often loses connection when its time again. You can check it in Big Picture Mode from Steam, only way i know(ok, you can check the physical batteries with a tester :D).

And else you could try get an older driver, the one on Windows 10 just got updated some days ago(which broke ATS support since they only use DirectInput).

Or do you have another controller connected which maybe uses DirectInput instead of Xinput?

battery is fine, controller works perfectly with every other game except this one.
I am using motionjoy to connect my ps3 controller though but i doubt that is causing the issue. Anyway ps3 controller seems to work fine with the game.

Was just a guess because both controllers use different Input methods, xbox one controller could adress both(Xinput/DirectInput) but with last update that seems to be gone(American Truck Sim/Euro Truck Sim 2 used only DI and the controllers stopped working when update is installed).
Maybe try to deactivate MotionJoy/throw out the MotionJoy driver, reboot and check if Xbox controller works again. Im not sure if Just Cause 3 has problems with 2 "active" controllers which use different inputs.

Or just downgrade your driver/throw out the update.

The Dongle doesn't work until i've restarted the computer and it only seems to e JC3

Yep i also need to restart my pc for the dongle to work again

I read somewhere else that you have to wait until the intro cutscene ends (The one with Rico on the beach)
When you're at the main menu with Rico leaning against a vehicle it's safe to turn on your controller
so that works

Yep, I'm having the same issues with my Xbox One controller- it disconnects with the wireless adpater. Only have the problem with JC3

Tried it and it actually worked for me, just wait until your past the login screen and turn on the controller

Turn on your controller when you are in In-Game menu. Work for me
