Liberating Insula Fonte

So this has been bugging me, I just completed the mission after you liberate the base with the FOW weapon on Insula Fonte, the mission where you have to defend Insula Fonte from the assult where Rico rides the missile,

Anyway, now it says that the whole of Insula Fonte has been liberated and the area around it on the map is marked in BLUE, however there are still towns and bases that are marked red as I haven't gone on to liberate the individual towns and bases. I think it's confusing that it says the region is liberated when quite clearly it isn't, just that after the mission it says it is.

Could you post a screenshot? That's confusing. I've never noticed that before

It's very confusing that you need liberate the base first before doing that mission, since you essentially wreck it with the missle.

However, eventually I realized that it's all part of the lacklustre story mission structure. I think the large circle should really be considered as a notification on whether you're done with the story missions in that region.
