Failed to destroy to bridge!

So I just got the game and im doing the mission where you get the wing suit and have to destroy the bridge. when I go tr plant the explosives nothing is put down 9/10 times (yes im pressing mouse 1 when there is the green marker). When the explosive is put down im running over to the other side of the brigde and then trying to place the next explosive it just blows up the one on the other side of the bridge making the mission fail (and im just pressing mouse button 1, not holding it).
Is this a bug, glitch and does anyone know how to get past this point?

just plant 3-4 bombs on the middle of the bridge , and yes sometimes you may not see the bomb but only because the game plant them a little bit under the top of the road

Are you sure you're not pressing key to detonate explosives? After JC2 keys are totally different and may cause problems here.

Well the prompt on the side of the screen says press mouse 1 to plant. So I do that on one side, when I go to the other side to plant and press mouse 1 it just explodes and the mission is failed.

Make sure the trucks are on the bridge and wait until it says for you to detonate the explosives

The trick is to take the bridge out with the rocket launcher or anything similar. The device of that woman doesn't function.

There is 0/10 times that I can plant the bomb.

Maybe its because I have Grappling hook re-mapped to Mouse One?

I can select the Explosives. I can select/Use the detonator.... but I cannot plant the fknfknfkn bomb.
