Watcher On The Wall Bugged (Help!)

I easily kill all the waves then mario says zeno is getting away and nothing else happens. My objective is still "protect the containers" and restarting hasnt helped.

I got this bug when I highjacked a enemy helicopter to clean out the waves, turns out I had to be on the ground / in the mission area for it to work properly.

I had figured this might be a cause, so in my many retries Ive finished :In an AA gun, a tank, on the ground, on the wall, and parachuting. ( grappled to jet and put a sticky on him) Nothing's worked so far. As for more detail on the whole mario thing, he says zeno broke free, then I see the subtitles saying hes arriving via chopper, but all I hear from mario is an "ECH" then silence. The subtitles dissapear very quickly and mario's portrait thing stays to the top of my screen as shown in the screenshot
