Explosion Flickering (glitch)

I started playing JC3 after having not played it for a while, now I noticed that explosion effects, most notably the ones from the big cylindrical fuel tanks, flicker quite badly, and I haven't found a reliable way to fix it.

Does any one know of a solution?

Issues like that are often to do with your graphics card drivers. Have you tried updating, reinstalling, or rolling back your drivers?

I've tried reinstalling, but haven't tried an old version, I'll try that next.

Reverting back to Nvidia Driver 368.39 (the oldest driver for gtx 1070 I could find) seems to have fixed nearly all flickering issues.

Nvidia drivers have been utter garbage as of lately. I too had to revert to an older revision to fix several issues with my games. Glad you have got it all sorted out.

It's likely a combination of Nvidia Driver and Hardware.
