The story in JC3 is much better than JC2, IMHO as well,
But anyway, Just Cause 3 reminds me of Just Cause 2, more than anything. The game engine has been updated, and they've added some new features and mechanics, such as the wingsuit, but otherwise it's essentially the same game with a slightly dfferent story. Don't get me wrong though - I really like the game, as my 128 hours in it should prove, but I wish they had made it more different. I mean, I get that the whole point of a JC game is to blow ♥♥♥♥ up, but still, it would have been cool to have something that was a bit more original.
Since an old game was mentioned, I'll do the same: The Saboteur [en.wikipedia.org] also has a lot in common with JC, and it's a hella fun game too. I thought of that one because the friend who recommended Mercenaries 2 to me did so because I was enjoying The Saboteur so much. :D
I'll take a look at Saboteur vids because I've seen that on sale cheap enough off and on.
