Which country scenery is like Just Cause 3?

I wanted to know which country do the developers of Just Cause 3 get inspiration from for the scenery they put in game like the mountains and hilly area.

Which country on Earth has scenery most similar to scenery found in Just Cause 3 game.

My first thought was Peru, but many nations in Central and South America look similar, as well as islands in the geographic area of Asia (Japan is not that dissimilar to the in-game enviroments in the more rural regions). So basically, there are many geographically similar places IRL.

Yeah, as was said, Medici is heavilly inspired by the mediterranean Itallian islands , especiallty Sicilly (rocky cliff shores, plenty of mountanous areas towards the middle of the land, there are some Corsican influences too, but the towns feel almost cut and paste rural Itallian towns) mixed in with the classic Just Cause Glorious Evil Dictator to boot of course ;)
