Bought this game in december, finally got a pc capable of playing it, played JC2 to death on xbox. I feel like i'm the only one who absolutely hates the wingsuit. Everything about it. I just don't think it's good. Also, I am pretty bummed that there is no crouch or roll. Or 1 handed and mix and match light weapons. Also, when you do the grapple-jump-chute to get air, it doesnt give you air anymore. Which sucks.

If you're early in the game, give it some time. Mods earned through challenges add considerable versatility to the wingsuit. Once mastered, you can do much more and travel faster with a fully modded wingsuit than you ever could with the JC2 parachute. If you have the DLC, you have access to the powered and armed Bavarium Wingsuit, which gets my vote for the single most fun attribute of the entire game.

i dont like the addition of the wingsuit in general.

You've just started the game. You clearly don't know crap about using the wingsuit right. If you keep faceplanting and failing, of course you won't enjoy it. You're judging too early.


Practice on the first few wingsuit challenges and you shld become a master at it. JC3's wingsuit is by far the greatest addition to the series ever IMO.
Once you learn how to wingsuit and stay in the air forever, you'll see how f****ing amazingly great the wingsuit is. Can get you from island to island within minutes, not once have I needed a jet or heli at all.


Also the world of JC3 is tailored towards the wingsuit. The landscape is very harsh for other kinds of vehicles to travel with, so good luck if you're not gonna use the wingsuit at all. If you fail at the wingsuit, I'm sorry but you fail at this game.

I have to disagree op. Love the wingsuit. However if you hate the wingsuit, dont use it, you also can play jc3 just like jc2 and just use the parachute and grappler. Though I use the paracute to gain a little height then switch to wingsuit, then when you get low again, switch back to paracute...

Plus the dlc where you get the rocket wingsuit is great, your basically ironman, I never really use vehicles other than helicopters and planes at that point, the odd boat. (besides I really am not a fan of how the ground vehicles handle, I was hoping they would have improved the handling since jc2, but nope).

As others have said though, you have almost no time in the game yet, it did take me a while to come to grips with it (and again if you get the rocket powered one, its much easier and great to use)

You actually don't need to use the parachute, at all, for flying the wingsuit. I notice alot of people don't realize this. If you watch the devs videos, that's how the wingsuit is meant to work.
You have to use the grapple in combination with the wingsuit to go both UP and DOWN everywhere.

yeah, although travelling by water is not favourable for a wingsuit. Only time I'd ever prefer a plane/chopper. But a wngsuit is still more convenient if you have no access to a flying vehicle or too lazy to rebel drop. You can try grappling onto nearby boats to give you some boost first. A parachute will only give you some elevation but can only be deployed up 2-3 times before gravity pulls you into the water.

Haha, yep thats exactly what I do over water if there is nothing close by lol (Well till I get the bavarium wingsuit anyway)

You guys are mistunderstanding me. I can use the wingsuit just fine, but I just don't like it even being a feature. I was just asking to see if anyone feels the same. Also, they changed the parachute and grapple physics so it is less efficent.

you never even explained why you hate the wingsuit so I can only assume. There's other no reason I see to be hating it, it's basically just an additional function offered. No missions even require you to use it apart from the first one.
Don't just say ''I hate __'' without even explaining and expect people to agree. That just makes for a horrible topic
